These Azalea blossom images are from my bushes in my yard. They bloom in late April or first week of May, I look forward to their blooming every year.
I used my Lensbaby Velvet 85 lens on my Canon DSLR camera to make these images.
Virginia Bluebell
3/27/22- My Virginia Bluebells are now starting to bloom in my yard. They bloom for only a couple of weeks. You have to enjoy them as much as you can while they are blooming as they die back and you have to wait until next Spring to see them again.
Periwinkle
3/27/22- My Periwinkle is blooming now. These are such delicate beautiful flowers. As a ground cover, they are the first plant that produces color in my yard every year.
I added an artistic impressionistic filter on this photograph for a little added touch.
Daffodil
The flower that says, “It’s Spring!”
This is a bulb plant that multiples each year and shows its face at the first sign of spring. I am so happy I planted them so many years ago in my yard. They look so beautiful and colorful in any yard or woods. Don’t be afraid of cutting the blossoms and bringing them into your home to enjoy all day long.
These are images I made on March 14, 2018 of the beautiful HIMALAYAN BLUE POPPIES at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. They bloom once a year and people come from all over to see and photograph them. Luckily, Longwood Gardens have them in March every year.
I often find that the back of a flower is just as beautiful and interesting as the front.
The images below are photographs I made, and then with using the Photoshop’s brush tool, gave them a more painterly look.
